Luis Portales earned a PhD in social sciences from Tecnológico de Monterrey. He is currently a professor and researcher at the University of Monterrey (UDEM) and member of the National System of Researchers (CONACYT).
His research interests are development and poverty, social capital, humanism in organizations, social responsibility and sustainability. He has numerous articles, book chapters and presentations. He has collaborated with UNDP and the OAS in conducting research projects and entrepreneurship.
Mario Vázquez Maguirre holds a Ph.D. (Business) from EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey and an MSc (Economics and Public Policy) at EGAP, Tecnológico de Monterrey. He is currently a professor of entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility at University of Monterrey (UDEM).
His primary research lines include social entrepreneurship, social enterprises and social development, humanistic management, and sustainability. He has worked in corporations such as BBVA and UPS, and he has served as consultant to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Dr. Osmar Arandia majored in Business Administration at the Monterrey Campus of ITESM. He graduated in 1993. Subsequently, he earned a Master’s degree in Marketing from the EGADE Business School in 2011. He holds a doctoral degree in Management Sciences from the Business School, which he was awarded in 2012. His specialty is Strategy and Social Responsibility and the title o his thesis is “Humanistic Management: A case study from the Steel industry”. His research interests focus on social responsibility, business ethics, and humanistic management.
As regards his professional trajectory, Osmar has held the positions of Academic Director of Administration at UDEM. He has also been the Director of Strategic Development at the UCC, and the Coordinator for Business graduate degree programs at that institution.
In industry, he has held senior posts in the commercial and marketing areas of several companies, in both the industry and services sectors.
Dr. Consuelo García de la Torre is a full-time research professor at EGADE Business School Monterrey, member of the SNI National Research System of Mexico (SNI1), and researcher at the Strategic Research Group in Social Innovation. She holds a Ph.D. in Administración from HEC University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and a Master’s Degree in Management at the Lovaina-la- Nueva en Bélgica University.
Dr. Consuelo García de la Torre’s fields of expertise include: Sustainability; Ethics and Corporate Governance; Entrepreneurship; Social Responsibility; Consumer Behaviour; Marketing Strategy and International Marketing; Social Marketing; Global Management; Industrial Psychology; Management and Humanism; Intercultural Negotiations.
