Case writers typically recognize the importance of opening a case study with a compelling hook that engages the reader. As editors, we have found that some authors focus so much attention on the opening hook that they devote insufficient attention to developing the closing hook. The best case studies both open and close the case by building interest. The ending of the case is less about building intrigue for reading the case and more about building intrigue for analyzing the case information. In this letter we offer some suggestions for crafting ending hooks to guide the reader into analyzing the case information.
