Does the concept of "Ignatian indifference" apply to contemporary business theory and, in particular, to decision-making in today's business context? Can and should a business executive be "indifferent" when making important and consequential decisions? This presentation explores the contributions of Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, to the practice of decision-making and applies them to contemporary business decision-making. The purpose of the presentation is to show how concepts and methods that were espoused and advocated by Ignatius almost 500 years ago resonate with contemporary business approaches to leadership and decision-making.
