Michael was uncertain whether a bike-share or rental program in any format was feasible on the ISU campus. The director of the Institute for Community Sustainability had invited Michael Brown, director of the recreation center at Indiana State University (ISU), to apply for a grant of up to $6300 as initial start-up funds for a bike-share/rental program on the ISU campus.
