              The purpose of this study was to identify potential clusters of academic institutions and individuals who are advancing the writing and publication of cases within the Society of Case Research. Previous research is overviewed and a theoretical foundation was provided based on cluster theory. The sample of five years of publications from the three SCR journals was content analyzed. Prolific institutions and authors within the field of case writing were identified; implications of the results for the field of case writing were also discussed.
