This paper aims to describe how sustainability can be introduced in a core Operations and Supply Chain Management (SCM) course. In response to a recent call for a paradigm shift in Jesuit business education (Garanzini, et al, 2020) and in sustainability teaching (Shrivastava, 2010), we have considered not only the cognitive dimension of learning but also the emotional and spiritual ones. After reviewing the proposed paradigm shifts of holistic education and experiential learning, we describe how Ignatian pedagogy can be used in an operations course to educate professionals committed to working for a more sustainable world.
