Recent ethical lapses by leaders in business and the public sector suggest that there stilt is more to do in terms of developing ethical leadership. Meanwhile, calls to better educate students to become ethical leaders continue (Heckman 2017, Skeet 2017). Given that traditional approaches have nor proven effective, this paper suggests a new approach based upon the lgnatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP), an oft-praised reaching technique derived from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. While the IPP is widely known among Jesuit educational institutions, its application to leadership development has not been considered previously.
