DEI in the Crossfire

The purpose of this article is to generate thought and discussion around the critical role DEI plays in the formation and support of larger societal goals. The article delves into the current state of diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education, exploring the crossfires that threaten the progress made, and the urgent need for renewed efforts to preserve the core values of equal educational opportunities. It offers ways that higher education, and society, in general, could respond to the present political environment, which wishes to hobble DEI initiatives in higher education.
