Connecting Faculty, Students, and Alumni

As an author you pour your heart and soul into each written piece, hoping your work will be read. You write about events and experiences that impacted you to the point where you just had to write about them. Now is your chance to share your impactful experiences to a global audience. Continue to capture the relevance and impact Jesuits have had upon your life and share them with the rest of your Jesuit network.

Components to a Case Study

According to the Associate Professor in Marketing and Dean at ESADE Business School in Barcelona, CA, Josep Franch defines the following key characteristics in case studies:

  • A case needs a great story
  • A case must have unique features
  • A case must have clear learning objectives
  • A case should be decision-focused
  • A case should not have a clear, obvious answer.

These five key characteristics define a solid foundation upon which you can craft your case study, assisted by the GJCS.

Publishing a case can sometimes be problematic for the author; including specific details in case studies sometimes creates moral, legal, or political liabilities. The GJCS enables authors to publish their Jesuit-based pieces without consequential hassle, as indicated by the GJCS authentication policy.
