The objective of this work is the comparative analysis of the efficiency of public spending on education between Argentine provinces. The sub-national level is observed since most of the financing of this expense falls on the provinces. The sample of jurisdictions was selected based on the availability of data in the period 2011-2021. For this purpose, estimates are used from the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). After its application it is possible to establish classifications between efficient and inefficient units. The analysis of efficiency indicators suggests that the benefits of the resources allocated in the educational area could be maximized. It is expected that decision-makers in education take into account the results obtained and can apply them in the design of educational policies.
