A new movement towards Net Positive is emerging in the corporate sustainability world that is both critical and paradigm-shifting. At the heart of the movement is this truth: that those committing to become Net Positive – synonymous with achieving a positive corporate footprint, a radical but not unachievable goal – must go beyond risk avoidance and incremental improvements to their businesses, towards truly innovating to eliminate negative impacts and actively creating positive impacts. Organizations adopting a Net Positive approach will be well positioned to grow their brands, have strong financial performance and attract the brightest talent. This paper discusses the Net Positive movement, the principles of a Net Positive company developed by the Net Positive Project and provides examples from businesses leading in this area.
