MACFAST (Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies, Tiruvalla) Kerala, India was established in 2001 at the peak of the information and communication technology (ICT) revolution in India, to transform the country into a land of IT specialists and computer scientists. The experiments and experiences of MACFAST, as “the trendsetter in education” are an exceptional model of education, innovation, and sustainability. The model leverages triple bottom line (TBL) focusing on how project disturbs the Planet, affects the People and addresses the Profit. MACFAST added two more bottom lines, the Passion for study and the Purpose of life, making it the quintuple bottom line. MACFAST introduced a fresh thinking of ‘continuity and discontinuity’ from the traditional educational system to an inclusive, innovative and sustainable model of education. The paper elaborates MACFASTIAN praxis applied in its environmental friendly, socially equitable, and economically viable projects.
