Professor P was grading final group reports in his introductory business course when he noticed that one of the groups had submitted a report that was more than 50% similar to a report submitted to another professor’s section of the same course in the previous semester. After some investigation, Professor P discovered that Tom, one of the students in the group, had been a member of the group that submitted the report from the prior semester. Professor P met with Tom and other members of the group to determine each student’s contribution to the report and if they were responsible for the similarity.
