DEI: What Is Different

Abstract
There has been increased attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in a global society in recent years. While studies have shown that workplace diversity adds value to organizations, COVID-19 has impeded the realization of workplace diversity initiatives. In addition, research findings have identified significant inequalities among individuals impacted by COVID-19. The research study explores how workplace diversity has been affected despite historical gains. This critical area of debate folds into a historical timeframe that focuses on how the recent worldwide issues impacted diversity efforts.
