Socially Responsible Companies: Global Challenge

Sustainability is a critical issue for socially responsible companies. Leaders of these companies have not only talked about it but have made sustainability a top priority, taking ownership of their role in the global challenge. While some organizations rely on the legal standards of a country to justify their priorities, some leaders recognize that they must be guided by their ethics and values rather than what is legally demanded. Leaders must recognize their stewardship role and be able to communicate it to both their organization and the greater community. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss what a major chemical company is doing globally, contrasting legal and ethical challenges.
