In this article, the authors provide an overview of common metrics used to evaluate and rate journals along with their relevance for teaching case journals, propose a method for evaluating and rating the existing teaching case journals for business education, and provide an initial set of journal ratings by utilizing those metrics. This article provides valuable insights for faculty seeking journals to publish their case studies and for institutions seeking to evaluate the journals in which their faculty publish. The analysis offers insight into the nature of teaching case journals in business and, thus, can serve as a catalyst to encourage additional publishing activity in this vital area of business education scholarship.
